Country-Level DEI Progress in 2025: Disability Inclusion in Practice In 2025, Schréder continued to strengthen Diversity, Equity and Inclusion through practical initiatives such as inclusive hiring, workplace adaptations and partnerships that expand access to employment opportunities. The examples below illustrate how these commitments are put into practice in different local contexts. Spain: Inclusive Employment and Accessibility Planning In Spain, the team partnered with an external social initiative to support the integration of people with disabilities into the workforce. Since launching this initiative over a year ago, two roles in the factory have been adapted to accommodate employees with disabilities. This enables them to participate fully in operational teams while ensuring the workplace remains accessible and supportive.

Ukraine: Workplace Adaptation and Reintegration

In Ukraine, efforts to promote inclusion focus on workplace accessibility and support. Schréder currently employs 33 people with diverse abilities, including those who have returned from military service. The company supports these employees through an inclusive employment approach. Where necessary, colleagues are provided with individual adaptation plans, which are co- developed by the People & Culture department and line managers. These plans may include role adjustments, mentoring, peer support, and workplace adaptations that align with each individual’s capabilities and medical recommendations. These efforts are complemented by training focused on recognising diverse needs, addressing bias and strengthening emotional intelligence. Employees also have access to psychological support and collaborate with local inclusion organisations. These examples demonstrate how Schréder advanced DEI through tangible, locally driven initiatives in 2025. By combining workplace adaptations, skills development and ongoing support, we are continuing to break down barriers, create opportunities and foster a sense of belonging, ensuring that all colleagues can contribute and thrive.

South Africa: Equity Alignment and Disability Skills Pathways

In South Africa, BEKA Schréder’s approach aligns with the Employment Equity Act 55 of 1998. The company employs a structured process to support disability inclusion, including defined disability categories and a formal employee-declaration process. For the past six years, BEKA Schréder has delivered a 12-month learnership programme that creates annual opportunities for eight unemployed learners with disabilities through accredited training and practical workplace experience. Two years ago, the programme was further strengthened through a partnership that guarantees employment upon completion, thereby supporting long-term employability and economic inclusion.
