Life Cycle Assessment & Environmental Product Declaration A Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) evaluates the environmental impact of a product throughout its lifetime. The Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) then communicates the verified LCA results in a transparent and standardised format. Since establishing our LCA process in 2019, Schréder has progressively expanded its capability to provide customers with precise cradle-to-grave environmental data and EPDs. As market expectations continue to evolve, the demand for high-quality, comparable and verified environmental data is intensifying. Customers are increasingly relying on EPDs to support procurement decisions and to benchmark the environmental performance of lighting solutions. We will continue to expand EPD coverage across our range and further integrate LCA insights into product development and circular economy initiatives.

programme operator specialised in the electrical and electronics sector. Their dedicated Product Specific Rules (PSRs) for luminaires provide a rigorous, harmonised framework that helps us to refine our LCA methodologies and strengthen the robustness and comparability of our results. Expansion of the Generic Product Family EPDs Following the release of our enhanced LCA and EPD processes at the end of 2024, we continued to expand the availability of registered generic product family EPDs in 2025. These homogeneous EPDs represent standard product configurations and are published on the PEP Ecopassport platform , enabling customers to access verified environmental information quickly. During 2025, we increased the number of product families covered by registered EPDs, and we plan to add more products in the coming years.

EPDs Verification and Registration While robust tools and experienced LCA engineers are essential to an advanced assessment process, ensuring accuracy, credibility and external recognition is equally important. To reinforce the reliability of our environmental data, we continue to rely on independent third-party verification and a recognised Programme Operator for EPD registration. In 2025, we took further steps to verify and formally register our Environmental Product Declarations with PEP Ecopassport , a well-established
