Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Concept at our Spanish Factory We use water to clean metal components at our factories before powder coating them. During this process, the water becomes contaminated with degreaser, oil, metals, and other chemicals. At our Spanish factory, however, our system enables us to recycle and reintegrate the wastewater completely back into the production cycle. This means that no discharge to the sewage network is required. Demineralisation This process ensures water quality. A key component of the installation is the demineralisation unit, which supplies high-quality water for use in formulation and replenishment within the production line.
Evaporation and Neutralisation
Thanks to this process, we are able to continuously increase the amount of water we recycle. In 2025, we recycled a total of 2,669 m³ of water.

All wastewater generated from the treatment tunnel and the demineralisation regeneration cycle flows by gravity into a common underground storage tank. From there, the wastewater is metered into the neutralisation system at a constant, low flow rate. Once neutralised, the effluent is transferred to a feed tank, where an evaporator performs distillation to recover the water. The end result is distilled water, which is returned to the production process, and a highly concentrated residue, which is safely removed by an authorised waste management company.
