Schréder - Lighting solutions for Airports

Projects

Singapore Changi Airport At Singapore Changi Airport, we replaced the lighting on 131 high-mast poles with OMNIBLAST LED luminaires. This upgrade improves apron visibility, enhances safety and significantly reduces energy consumption and maintenance costs. Designed for durability and high performance, the new lighting system supports the airport’s sustainable operations while meeting the demands of one of the world’s leading aviation hubs.

Airbus Canada LP workshop, Mirabel-Montréal Airport To ensure safe operations in low visibility conditions, Bombardier (now Airbus Canada LP) selected an energy-efficient lighting solution for its workshop and runway at Mirabel Airport. OMNISTAR luminaires, installed on 36-metre-high masts, provide uniform, glare-free lighting with just eight units per mast. The system is also equipped with our smart control solution, enabling dimming during periods of inactivity to enhance energy savings and efficiency.

Toronto Pearson Airport Canada’s busiest airport, Toronto Pearson International Airport, has upgraded its traditional discharge lighting fixtures in its apron areas with energy-efficient OMNISTAR LED luminaires. This project supported the airport’s goal of cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 20% by 2020 and helped to reduce power consumption from 175,000 W to 82,250 W. It also improved safety and met strict aviation standards, reducing glare for pilots.

Sir Seretse Khama International Airport, Gaborone Sir Seretse Khama International Airport, near Gaborone in Botswana, underwent a significant upgrade to replace its outdated lighting with LED technology. This upgrade has significantly reduced energy consumption and maintenance requirements, while improving visibility and safety in workshops, on internal roads and in corridors and large outdoor areas. The enhanced lighting quality has also contributed to improved employee well-being and greater operational efficiency.
