CROWN Jewel in the Lighting can sometimes be seen as a commodity and luminaires considered as basic urban amenities. But it is not an unavoidable law of nature: not all luminaires have to look the same. FLEXIA brings a new dynamic and breaks the rules. With its built-in custom capabilities, FLEXIA offers opportunities to reinforce the identity of an environment. It can either blend into a landscape by matching a transport company’s branding or be a privileged devotee of local heroes by wearing a sports team’s colours. With FLEXIA SIGNATURE, there are no limits to the imagination.

9

COMMUNITY Proud member of a The three crosses of Saint Andrew are the well-known symbol of the city of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. They are famous worldwide, even as far as the neighbourhood of New Amsterdam in New York city! In Amsterdam, this symbol is spread all over the capital: on buildings, on poles, on sidewalks, and even on boats. The state of Baden-Württemberg has resulted from the merger of three German regions where prosperity and well-being reign. The Baden-Württemberg blazon symbolises the unity of the three areas through three black lions on a golden background. Why could luminaires not support a specific emblem and boast local pride? FLEXIA SIGNATURE provides the perfect medium for embodying a community identity, creating city branding consistency and reinforcing the sense of belonging.

INDUSTRIAL SUCCESS Celebrate craftsmanship or All over the world, cities proudly celebrate the local craftsmanship, ancestral know-how and industrial successes that shaped their heritage

and still contribute nowadays to their identity. FLEXIA SIGNATURE can acknowledge local expertise with a specific design that pays tribute to this vital part of the city’s character. It can take the form of a handcrafted material, such as copper in the Middle East where this artisanship is ancestral. FLEXIA SIGNATURE can also contribute to shedding light on the industrial leadership of a region. When you know that the mechanics, casing and final inspection of a timepiece must all be carried out in Switzerland to earn the ‘Swiss made’ hallmark, you understand how punctilious the watch industry is, where high-quality mechanisms are coupled with premium materials!

People and cities are always in motion. Every week, there is something to celebrate, to commemorate or to praise. Communities love to share meaningful moments and celebrate special events. LIGHT The Circle

Many of the luminaires we supplied to cities back in the 1970s, are still working. We are proud of this as it demonstrates that our technical concepts, aimed at keeping our products operating on-site for as long as possible, had already led the way to a more sustainable world. But now, we are going a step further with a more circular approach. The concept of circularity focuses on reducing the environmental burden through the optimisation of every material flow. In a circular economy, products are designed and built as part of a value stream where they will be used for as long as is feasible. Then, depending on their characteristics, they can be reused, refurbished, upgraded or recycled. Our Circle Light label aims assesses our luminaires based on 12 criteria covering all aspects of efficiency, ease of maintenance and disassembling and recycling capabilities.

17

FLEXIA claims 4 stars at the Circle Light assessment, not only due to its efficiency but also because of 8 circular highlights.

> High-quality mechanical structure enabling IP 66 and IK 09 ratings > Tool-free philosophy: opening, cabling and LED engine removal > Modular design for all functional parts > Less than 7 steps to completely disassemble the luminaire > Highly recyclable materials > Utmost connectivity with standard high-voltage (NEMA) and low-voltage (Zhaga) sockets > Product information available by scanning a QR code > Long service life: designed to deliver 25 years of efficiency, sustainability and safety
