Each country, if not each region has its own environmental regulations. They can be more or less strict and focus on certain specific criteria. On 1 st January 2020, the French government introduced a new national law that is now seen as one of the most environmentally advanced in Europe. It is largely inspired by the EU green public procurement policy for road lighting, issued in 2019. This role model regulation: Limits ULOR to max. 1%; Reduces glare: at least 95% of the light emission is confined to angles below 14.5 degrees from the horizontal; Restricts the emission of blue light with CCT <3000K; Restrains the amount of light to less than 35lm/sqm; Prohibits intrusive lighting towards dwellings and any kind of lighting of waterways and sea. The PureNight certification software developped by Schréder guarantees that your lighting solution satisfies environmental laws and requirements . Schréder has its own certified laboratory and is also endorsed by numerous independent certification bodies. Comply with the strictest environmental regulations

11

Control solutions: set the right lighting levels any time

CUSTOM FACTORY DRIVER SETTINGS Intelligent luminaire drivers can be programmed in the factory with complex dimming profiles . This feature does not require any extra wiring. The period between switching on and switching off is used to activate the preset dimming profile. The customised dimming system generates maximum energy savings while respecting the required lighting levels and uniformity throughout the night. Drivers can be re-programmed to change the dimming profile over time, if needed.

SENSORS FOR AUTONOMOUS DYNAMIC SCENARIOS Photoelectric sensors switch on the luminaires exactly when natural light becomes insufficient (cloudy day, night fall, etc.) so as to provide safety and comfort in the public space. In places with little nocturnal activity, lighting can be dimmed to a minimum most of the time. By using motion sensors such as PIR sensors , levels can be raised as soon as a pedestrian or a vehicle is detected in the area. Speed (and direction) sensors such as radars work with a wider detection area to classify the identified moving item following its speed and its direction. This classification provides the right response according to predefined lighting scenarios.

12

BLUETOOTH TM ECONOMICAL ON-SITE SOLUTION The Schréder built-in Bluetooth TM solution is ideal for the on-site configuration of individual outdoor luminaires using Bluetooth. By simply standing beside the pole, the user is able to read diagnostic data, switch the luminaire on or off and adapt the dimming curve . A user-friendly application called Sirius BLE provides easy and secure access to the control and configuration functions.

SCHRÉDER EXEDRA COMPLETE REMOTE CONTROL

As the most user-friendly remote control platform for intelligent street lighting, Schréder EXEDRA integrates advanced features for programming the most efficient dimming profiles based on endless variables (calendar days, special events, seasons, etc.) while providing safety, comfort and a sense of well-being for people. Schréder EXEDRA can integrate smart lighting applications such as the ability to adapt the colour of the light or build dynamic lighting scenarios through PIR sensors or radars. As it offers complete interoperability, Schréder EXEDRA can manage controllers/sensors and control luminaires from other manufacturers.

13

FlexiWhite: provide the right colour temperature To choose is to forsake. When it comes to deciding which colour temperature you will opt for, it is never a happy moment. You know that a colder white light optimises performance while a warmer one is more preferable to people and animal natural cycles. What if you didn’t have to choose? The Schréder FlexiWhite solution offers you the freedom to use the right colour temperature at any time . Whether it relies on pre-programmed scenarios, works with the Schréder EXEDRA remote control system, uses sensors or a mix of all three, the FlexiWhite solution offers you the flexibility to provide the right level with the right colour temperature at the right place and the right time.

With PCBAs using two types of LEDs (e.a. 2200K and 3000K), you can select one of two colour temperatures or mix both at various levels (dimming), thanks to DALI Type 8 drivers with single address multipath channels, to create a palette of colour temperatures. As lenses cover the complete PCBA, the light distribution remains unchanged whatever you select. How is it possible?

Together for a circular economy

With transparent criteria to assess our products, the Circle Light Label helps cities and industries adopt a circular economy and drive a positive future for all.

extracting raw materials

A circular economy is mainly defined in opposition to the traditional linear economy: take, make and dispose. In a circular economy, products are part of a value stream where they will be used for as long as possible. Then, depending on their characteristics, they can be reused, refurbished, upgraded or recycled. This leads to increased efficiency, reduced operating costs, greater resilience and a smaller ecological footprint. Benefits of a circular economy

It's in the DNA

Schréder has always designed products and services with sustainability in mind - it's simply what we do. Indeed, many of the lighting solutions we installed back in the 1970s are still working. We take the circular economy into account, right from the offset. From the concept phase, design guidelines not only take into account the production and

environmental impact of our luminaires. They facilitate removing components and

increasing the standardisation of parts and the materials separability once its working life is over.

A more sustainable, brighter future is a priority for everyone. At Schréder, we have always developed responsible lighting solutions to preserve and enhance landscapes. The Circle Light Label provides design guidelines to challenge our R&D team further for the community's benefit.

Circle Light

In this constant quest to innovate and be completely transparent with our customers, we launched the Circle Light Label. It designates products that are optimised for a circular economy without compromising on the quality. We assess our luminaires to evaluate their potential circularity through 12 objective criteria in 5 categories:

IZYLUM

FLEXIA

The luminaires are rated with a comparative scale from 1 star (least circular) to 4 stars (most circular). To support our customers in making an informed choice and developing a truly circular economy, only luminaires with 4 stars are promoted by us with a Circle Light Label.

Luminaire data at your fingertips

The Schréder Smart Label enables installers and infrastructure managers to retrieve all key luminaire information on any digital device, whether it is mobile or desktop. It offers direct access to a portal where they can exchange info usefull for asset management.

On request, the “smart labels” can be found on the luminaire packaging or inside the luminaire itself. One of them is designed to be stuck inside the pole, on the pole door. Scanning the QR code offers instant access to an online portal where all the critical information about the luminaire is stored.

Prepare field operations

On product ordering, the infrastructure manager facilitates and secures the installation operations by adding key project information to the label. Project name, lighting class, application, location, specific references... Any type of information that might be useful can be added.

28

Scan on-site and update

The installer scans the QR code on the luminaire or enters its serial number. She/he can check the luminaire information , access installation instructions and attribute the luminaire to a specific project . When connected to the portal, the installer can also add information for asset management : project name, full address automatically extracted from the GPS position, pole number, type and height, and any other relevant information for the project management over time.

The infrastructure manager can retrieve all data recorded on-site by the installer and add them to a lighting management platform such as Schréder EXEDRA. This operation can be performed at any time - after installation, after maintenance, after repairs - to keep information updated. Manage assets over time

Maximise efficiency

The Smart Label portal enables both the installer and the city manager to exchange critical information throughout the life cycle of the luminaire (installation, maintenance, repair). This platform makes operations more efficient by preventing unnecessary on-site visits. Cities make significant savings and maintain lighting performance over time. When servicing the lighting scheme, the maintenance crew records the date/operations completed. In case of luminaire failure, they can use the troubleshooting assistance and follow the instructions to find out the root cause, fix the issue and, if needed, request spare parts to repair the luminaire.

The Schréder Smart Label relies on a progressive web app compatible with all devices (PC, laptop, smartphone or tablet) to offer instant access to information and instructions about the luminaire.

Just a year after its launch, SHUFFLE was awarded ` Product of the Year 2016 ’ by the Highway Electrical Association (HEA) in the UK. A little while later, in 2017, SHUFFLE received the ` Smart City Award ’ in London for its technology with great potential for smart cities. In 2020, Schréder made SHUFFLE independent from physical wiring for lightning-speed connectivity, creating the first wireless smart column. This spirit of constant innovation combined with exquisite design, attention to detail and a deep understanding of customer needs has positioned SHUFFLE as a benchmark in the market. Since their launch, SHUFFLE columns have delighted cities and private companies in more than 25 countries worldwide.

SHUFFLE SOS What creates a feeling of security in a city? How can a lighting point reassure people? How can it ease emergency interventions? How can it prevent hazardous situations turning into disasters? How can infrastructure protect people and save lives? SHUFFLE SOS offers the perfect solution to help people and emergency services in critical situations . With one simple push of a button, citizens can quickly get in touch with emergency services if they witness an incident or are the victim of an accident. With a voice-over IP intercom, people can explain the problem and receive proper assistance . The embedded cameras enable call centres to take the right actions thanks to a real-time video feed. The strobe light and horn, which can be triggered remotely, make sure that the emergency signal is seen and heard by bystanders in the area. They also guide the emergency crew to the exact location of the incident. With SHUFFLE SOS, people never feel alone in a city. They receive the support they expect in the shortest possible time. Emergency services are able to react accordingly and cover a larger area, optimising their resources.

SHUFFLE MOBILITY

What if a streetlight could charge electric vehicles? How could a smart column provide an answer to the increasing need for public charging infrastructure and support electric vehicle growth? How can a lighting- based system charge the battery in your company car while you are in the office? According to Deloitte, the global EV forecast will reach an annual growth rate of 29 per cent over the next ten years, with total EV sales reaching 31.1 million by 2030. Despite this growth, mainstream adoption of EVs in Europe is still hindered by an insufficient charging infrastructure in most of the regions. SHUFFLE Mobility is designed to charge electric vehicles and protect them from vandals . It can be installed in streets where it is difficult to establish infrastructure for electric vehicle charging. SHUFFLE Mobility not only provides a charging solution for electric vehicles, it ensures an outstanding experience for EV drivers by helping them to find vacant chargers, by ensuring a high security level for them and their car and by offering the best lighting solution at night.
