Schréder - Lighting and biodiversity

Perfect compliance

Schréder monitors existing and future environmental requirements to ensure your lighting solution always complies. We believe that well-designed LED lighting can preserve the environment in many ways. That’s why Schréder has joined the Dark Sky International certification programme, the recognised authority on light pollution. It provides leadership, tools and resources to industries and businesses that wish to reduce light pollution. A luminaire is certified as DarkSky when it minimises or eliminates (depending on the options selected) the upward- directed light flux. It complies with strict international and local requirements.

DarkSky International criteria:

• Restricted emissions of blue light with CCT (correlated colour temperature) less than 3000K • Limited ULOR of a maximum of 0.5% (percentage of light emitted towards the sky) • Low glare for the best night-time experience • A safety certification from an independent laboratory
