European Mobility Week As every year since 2022, Schréder employees left their cars at home for one week and chose greener mobility solutions for their commuting or private mobility. As an international company with companies all over the world, we expanded this movement beyond Europe to include other countries such as Australia and South Africa. We are pleased to see that this movement is becoming more successful each year with an increasing participation rate. In 2024, 16 Schréder sites saved 5,017 kg of CO2e during the week, which is 140% more than last year. “Mobility Week was a great opportunity to raise awareness about sustainable commuting and reducing our environmental impact. We encouraged car-free travel by organising a fun challenge, where colleagues shared their daily activities on a shared platform. The real-time updates and friendly competition created an amazing sense of community and motivation, which helped us achieve a very high participation rate.” Natalia Hołubkow - Sustainability Ambassador, Poland
Beach clean-up in UK Our Schréder colleagues in the UK teamed up with the Marine Conservation Society for a beach clean- up day. Over a 100 metre stretch, they collected 15kg of litter, including microplastics, vapes, broken glass, baby wipes and bottle tops. Our team spent 5 hours combing the beach, making a real impact on the local environment. This wasn’t just a chance to give back to the planet, it was also a great opportunity for team bonding. Everyone left feeling accomplished, more connected and more aware of how we can all make a difference. “Sustainability starts with small actions and strong teams. Our beach clean-up was a reminder that when we come together with purpose, we can protect the planet - one piece of litter at a time.” Kate Pickard - Sustainability Ambassador, UK
Eco-challenge in France Last year, our colleagues in France participated in an Eco-challenge with Little Big Impact to raise awareness, train and support action for a sustainable future. Over 3 months, 144 participants divided into 27 teams were shown and carried out 2,956 actions to reduce their carbon footprint in various categories. The challenge taken up by our colleagues resulted in an estimated total saving of 64.57 tonnes of CO2e, or an average of 609.15 kg per person. “It is still possible to keep the global warming below 2 oC. As Valérie Masson Delmotte, Co-chair of IPCC said: every half degree counts, every year counts, every decision counts.” Natacha Humbert-Droz – Sustainability Ambassador, France
