The NGO Redes runs programmes to help the Asháninka indigenous communities to improve their quality of life. As part of the ‘Illumination Communidad El Milagro, Aoti, Impitato, Boca del Ipoki, Somontonari’, the Schréder Together Fund donated and installed luminaires in 7 educational sites and parks in the Asháninka Tsomontonari Alto and Bajo communities in Río Negro, Satipo, Peru. This vital lighting now provides safer and more conducive learning and recreational environments, directly supporting

After donating solar lighting in 2022 and 2023 to support the village’s ‘Community, Light, Safety’ plan, the Schréder Together Fund decided to continue its support in 2024. In collaboration, with the NGO Muelekanyi Technical Services, 78 fibreglass poles and SOL-ONE Maxi SOLAR luminaires were delivered to light approximately 3.5 km of rural roads. As the area is extremely rural and there is no electricity supply available, the solar lighting provides a much safer nighttime environment for the local community, especially the more vulnerable women and children.

The town of Borodyanka was badly damaged following the Russian invasion. To help rebuild infrastructure to improve safety and the well-being of the local communities, the Schréder Together Fund donated over 200 VITALUM luminaires to improve safety after dark. Thanks to the new low-energy luminaires, over 20 streets have been relit, creating a more reassuring environment for residents while minimising pressure on the existing electrical grid. The robust design, high- performance and and long life of the luminaires means the local authorities will not need to carry out any maintenance operations for a long time.

Alfa Grup is a non-profit association that supports

vulnerable people to participate actively in the development of the community and to combat social exclusion through education and help in finding employment. With the funding from the Schréder Together Fund, the association was able to provide mentorship for 10 students on specific educational curricula so that they will have access to high school and avoid dropping out of school. It was also able to help 5 young people living in Sălacea to start local businesses.

the children’s educational opportunities and futures.
